The Animal World and Halloween

For the first part of this term we will explore the amazing world of animals through art!

From furry friends and feathered creatures to scaly reptiles and magnificent sea life, we'll discover what makes every animal unique. We'll look closely at their colours, patterns, textures and features before bringing them to life through a variety of exciting art activities.

Children will experiment with pencils, pens, paints, printing and mixed media to create beautiful animal-inspired artwork. They'll also have the chance to let their imaginations run wild by designing their own unique animal characters and magical creatures.

For the second part of the term we will have spooky fun!

We'll create spooky masks, creepy pictures, and magical Halloween-themed artwork using a variety of exciting materials and techniques. From pumpkins and friendly ghosts to witches, monsters and mysterious creatures, children will let their imaginations run wild as they explore painting, drawing, printing and mixed media.

This fun and creative term is perfect for young artists who love animals, enjoy exploring different materials, and want to develop their artistic skills in a relaxed and inspiring environment.

(Classes can be adapted for younger or older children, if you feel this class would be suited for your child but they are not in those school years please message for more information.)

Small group of no more than 6 children, so all children get the help and guidance needed

About the Classes

Creative classes are an important part of children’s development. Art encourages imagination, builds confidence, supports emotional expression, and strengthens problem-solving and fine-motor skills.
My lessons are designed to be fun, pressure-free, and accessible for all abilities, offering children the chance to explore different artistic materials and techniques.

• Helen, the artist and tutor, is fully DBS checked.
• A bit about Helen the tutor- 

Helen is the founder and creative artist behind SunnyJolly Designs. She studied at Leeds College of Art and went on to specialise in Surface Pattern Design at Bretton Hall University.

Passionate about inspiring creativity, Helen creates fun, engaging classes where children can explore a variety of artistic techniques, build confidence, and express themselves through art. Her aim is to help every child enjoy the creative process and leave each session feeling proud of what they've made.

• Parents can either remain throughout the sessions or you can leave the children.
•  Blackcurrant, orange juice and water is available for all children
